Job summary

IBM Software is seeking a Software Developer to work on distributed systems, cloud-native development, and secure data integration, delivering scalable solutions for digital transformation.

You will architect complex systems, run production services in the cloud, and enhance performance and reliability while participating in on-call rotations, leveraging Java, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• 1+ years of software development experience.
• Experience delivering large-scale, secure, highly available, low latency systems.
• Experience running production services in the cloud and on-call rotation.
• Familiarity with cloud-native technology including networking and security.
• Experience with Java, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms is highly valued.
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with distributed systems, cloud-native development, and secure, scalable data integration.
• Architect a complex engineering system from end to end.
• Evaluate and enhance the efficiency of our platform's technology stack, keeping pace with industry trends and adopting state-of-the-art solutions.
• Solve complicated technical projects with high quality and provide technical guidance to the team in specialized areas.
• Enhance the stability, performance, scalability, and operational excellence across multiple critical systems.
