Job summary

Accelerate Learning is seeking a Software Architect to own end-to-end architectural lifecycle for core curriculum and supplemental product platforms. You will balance hands-on delivery with strategic direction, ensuring operability, scalability, and security across production systems.

You will collaborate with product and engineering, drive modern cloud-native patterns on AWS, and mentor engineers while guiding AI/ML integration and analytics initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in leadership roles.
• Experience owning architecture of complex, long-running production systems and incident response.
• Proven success defining and delivering cloud-native SaaS architectures; EdTech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Software Architect for core curriculum and supplemental applications, owning architectural integrity across production microservices and new capabilities.
• Maintain operability of production applications through incident management, runbooks, and risk reduction.
• Drive architectural health by addressing technical debt and modernization while preserving business continuity.
• Lead maintainability efforts with incremental re-architecture and system consolidations across product lines.
• Collaborate with Product, Agile Delivery and Engineering leadership to keep a platform health backlog and visible risk management.
