Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions in the United States seeks a senior software architect to lead architecture design and governance for complex distributed systems. You will define technical direction, establish standards, and mentor teams to adopt modern technologies while improving system health, performance, and cost efficiency. Strong communication with Enterprise Architecture and Engineering is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software, systems, or network engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong foundation in programming, software development, and database technologies.
• Expert-level experience with Java/JEE and the Spring ecosystem; experience designing large-scale distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture design and governance by defining and enforcing standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Conduit between Enterprise Architects and Engineering teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Drive consistency and innovation across systems with cross-functional collaboration.
• Mentor development teams and promote adoption of modern technologies.
• Monitor system health, performance, and cost trends; identify risks and inefficiencies.
• Translate technical findings into actionable solutions and risk assessments.
• Lead design reviews and provide hands-on technical leadership.
