Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software, network, or systems engineering.
• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of programming languages, code, and database.
• Expert-level knowledge in programming language(s); e.g., .Net, Java, HTML, Perl, C++, C#, PHP, etc.
• Expert in a plurality of technologies: Parallel/Distributed Processing, Information Retrieval, Data Mining, NLP, VLSDBs, Declarative Languages, HPC.
• OS knowledge across Windows Server, UNIX/Linux, and z/OS.
• Strong organization, planning, and change-management skills across multiple teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities for senior and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Act as a conduit between Global Architecture and Engineering teams.
• Collaborate with architects from different organizations to share knowledge.
• Lead teams in evaluating and adopting new technologies.
• Translate findings into actionable architectural options, including risks and timelines.
• Drive technical direction and architectural evolution through reviews and leadership.
• Monitor system health and propose improvements to remediate negative trends.
• Identify subsystems for shared infrastructure and reuse.
• Research industry advancements to advance opportunities.
