Job summary

LexisNexis seeks a senior Enterprise Architect to provide architectural and structural leadership for the RELX Business Unit, guiding development, maintaining technical knowledge, and evaluating new technologies for strategic decision-making.

You will coordinate with Global Architecture and engineering teams, drive architecture evolution, and mentor teams while ensuring security, performance, and scalability across complex systems.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in software, network, or systems architecture.
• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required; advanced degree required.

Responsibilities

• Plan evolution of the Business Unit systems, including retirement and replacement of existing systems.
• Provide consultancy, leadership, and promotion of engineering best practices.
• Proactively monitor the Business Unit system health and design and write proposals to remedy negative trends.
• Review and approve changes to infrastructure subsystems and components.
• Provide architecture and design for large development or infrastructure business engineering efforts.
• Perform technical evaluations of new technology and acquisition candidates as required.
• Assist in the development of information security procedures and deployment of a security audit.
• Evaluate new technologies and their applicability to the business.
• Respond to enterprise security issues and design solutions for incidents.
• Act as conduit between Global Architecture and Engineering teams.
• Introduce/trains teams with new technology.
• Drive technical direction and architecture evolution via reviews and on-floor leadership.
• Proactively research industry developments and build alliances to leverage opportunities.
• All other duties as assigned.
