Job summary

Talon Professional Services is seeking a Cloud Native Infrastructure Operations Engineer for a 12-month contract in New York. The role focuses on automating lifecycle management of on-premise bare metal infrastructure, improving reliability, and streamlining workflows for large-scale distributed systems.

Candidates should have 3+ years in IaC, strong Linux programming skills, and familiarity with Kubernetes, containerization, and automation tools like Airflow or Jenkins.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Infrastructure as Code experience with Ansible, Chef, or Terraform.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or Java.
• Solid Linux OS, shell scripting, and OS troubleshooting knowledge.
• Experience supporting production infrastructure, incident troubleshooting, and reliability improvements.
• Knowledge of Chaos Engineering or testing strategies for infrastructure resilience.
• Experience with automation tools such as Airflow, Argo, or Jenkins is highly desirable.
