Job summary

UNAVAILABLE in the United States is seeking a Software Developer to join our DevSecOps practice. You'll design, develop, and deploy modular micro-services and cloud-based systems, collaborating with stakeholders and other developers to deliver secure software features and APIs.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on Java/React experience, CI/CD with Jenkins or similar, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in IT or related field with 2 years IT experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Java/React.
• 3+ years of experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket.
• Experience with one or more clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience using CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Pipelines, CircleCI, TravisCI.
• Experience implementing docker containers and utilizing Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing Automated Testing frameworks including unit testing.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy modular micro-services and cloud-based systems.
• Understand stakeholders' needs and convey to other developers.
• Write and debug code for innovative software solutions.
• Troubleshoot software quality, security, and reliability issues.
• Participate in code reviews and QA activities.
• Automate unit and functional tests.
• Test and examine code written by others and analyze results.
• Ensure software is secure against cyber threats.
• Identify technical problems, perform root cause analysis, and develop fixes.
• Document code, features, and training guides.
• Leverage virtualization and containerization to optimize systems.
• Act as an individual contributor and mentor junior team members.
• Engineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
