Job summary

EY is seeking AI Systems Engineers to build and operate the foundational substrate powering EY’s AI-native platform. You will own the cloud-native platform layers (Kubernetes, multi-tenancy, and infrastructure) across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped targets, enabling reliable, portable, and scalable AI workloads.

You will collaborate with DevOps and security teams to ensure production-readiness, regulatory compliance, and seamless integration with downstream runtime services.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building or operating enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, or large-scale Kubernetes environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes distributions and full cluster lifecycle management.
• Deep experience with bare-metal, cloud, hybrid, on-prem, and air-gapped deployment models.
• Strong grounding in cluster networking, storage, and multi-tenancy isolation.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own the cluster & cloud-native platform: compute, Kubernetes and scheduling, cluster fabric/networking, multi-tenancy, and distributed compute.
• Stand up and manage EY environments across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped deployment modes.
• Deliver foundational platform capabilities so downstream runtime, data, and execution services run safely and consistently.
• Own cluster lifecycle, autoscaling, GPU pooling/virtualization, and multi-tenancy boundaries.
• Ensure the substrate is modular and swappable to minimize vendor lock-in while preserving stack contract.
