Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Cloud Migration Engineer to lead planning, execution, and validation of migrating Judiciary workloads from the VM-based data center to private clouds. You will collaborate closely with application teams to ensure successful migrations, using FedRAMP-authorized clouds and integrating with AO systems and DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of cloud migration experience with major federal IT applications.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, Google, and Oracle cloud providers; not all apps migrated to same cloud.
• Familiar with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Proficient with open-source tools (LAMP).
• Experience with Ansible, Git, Docker.

Responsibilities

• Enterprise application migration planning.
• Application refactoring/development.
• Application migration implementation.
• Maintain software code baseline.
• Implement planned enhancements.
• Provide required fixes.
• Adapt to policy/technology changes.
• Support identity management integration.
• Use DevSecOps, CM, version control, and testing automation tools.
• Diagnose complex failures and restore services under pressure.

• Create communications for various audiences.
• Coordinate security scan remediation.
• Propose cost savings and process improvements to government.
• Leverage Jira and AO SDLC resources.
• Document status and daily work hours.
• Interact with end users on case-by-case scenarios.
