Job summary

IntelliBee is seeking an API integration engineer to design and implement cloud-native interfaces using AWS API Gateway and related services. You will develop middleware with Apache Camel, build batch data exchange processes, and ensure secure, compliant integrations across hybrid environments.

You will troubleshoot TLS/certificate issues, collaborate with security and infrastructure teams, and document interfaces and runbooks while providing technical mentorship to the team.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS API Gateway and cloud-native integration on AWS.
• Deep experience with Apache Camel or similar integration frameworks.
• Experience designing and supporting batch file integrations and data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML, flat-file messaging, HTTP, and event-driven patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement API integrations using AWS API Gateway and related AWS services.
• Develop and maintain middleware solutions using Apache Camel or similar frameworks.
• Build and support batch integration processes for scheduled, high-volume data exchange.
• Define integration patterns, including error handling, retries, logging, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and business teams to align solution designs.
• Troubleshoot interfaces—including certificate, TLS, and authentication issues—and support incident resolution and performance tuning.
• Ensure integrations meet security, compliance, and architectural standards.
• Document integration designs, interface specifications, and operational runbooks.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project team members.
• Evaluate integration tools, patterns, and modernization opportunities.
