Job summary

Defense Unicorns is seeking a Support Engineer to troubleshoot complex issues across Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines. You will be the primary technical contact for customers, owning problems from report to resolution and partnering with engineering to accelerate fixes.

You will write runbooks, contribute to knowledge bases, and participate in on-call rotations to meet SLA commitments. A DoD environment exposure and regulatory context are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of technical support, DevOps, SRE, or related engineering role.
• Solid Linux proficiency and experience troubleshooting.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience across distributions and on-prem.
• Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and networking.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical contact for customer issues via ticketing, Slack, and email.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across Linux, Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, RKE2, K3s, OpenShift), cloud infra (AWS/Azure/GCP), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Diagnose issues spanning hybrid clouds — networking, RBAC, storage, cluster lifecycle.
• Own escalations end-to-end from triage to post-mortem documentation.
