Job summary

Ethos Life is seeking an experienced IT Engineer to design and evolve a cloud-first IT environment, driving security, scalability, and automation across the organization. You’ll lead cross-functional projects, mentor teammates, and implement modern IT solutions with an emphasis on best practices, email/security platforms, and proactive incident resolution.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable IT solutions, build AI-powered agents for automation, and maintain clear runbooks

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT Engineering, Systems Administration or similar in a cloud-first environment.
• Hands-on in security-first IT design and modern network security approaches.
• Proven ability to automate workflows via scripting or APIs and implement automation.
• Experience managing Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Okta, Jamf, Intune and related tools.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills for junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve a cloud-first IT environment for scalability and security.
• Lead cross-functional IT projects from planning to delivery.
• Implement automation to reduce manual workflows and improve efficiency.
• Apply security-first mindset to access controls, device posture, and risk mitigation.
• Mentor team members and promote best practices in IT.
• Oversee email and collaboration platforms with focus on security and deliverability.
• Develop and maintain runbooks, standards, and documentation.
• Handle escalated IT incidents and perform root cause analyses.
• Support onboarding and assist new hires with a smooth transition.
• Evaluate new tools and AI-powered agents to enhance IT operations.
