Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Manager of Cloud Infrastructure to shape and operate a modern Azure-native cloud environment powering scalable SaaS applications for public sector and regulated industries.

You will mentor engineering teams, drive DevSecOps practices, and align platform reliability with security and FinOps goals, working across engineering, security, and business units in a fast-growing software organization.

Qualifications

As the Manager of Cloud Infrastructure, you will play a key role in shaping and operating a modern Azure-native cloud environment that powers highly available SaaS applications at scale. This is an ideal opportunity for a technical leader who remains deeply hands-on while providing mentorship, architectural direction, and operational leadership to a growing engineering team.

You’ll drive cloud strategy, Infrastructure as Code, DevSecOps best practices, and platform reliability while collaborating across engineering, security, and business teams to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps experience, including recent hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure-native services and at least 2 years leading or mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating Azure environments using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, along with Azure networking, security, identity, and cloud-native services.
• Proven background delivering cloud platforms across both enterprise-scale environments and smaller, fast-moving organizations, with experience implementing CI/CD, DevSecOps, and highly available SaaS infrastructure.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, Bicep, PowerShell, Snyk, SonarCloud, and modern automation tooling.
• Expertise implementing observability and monitoring using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, or comparable platforms.
• Microsoft Azure certifications and experience with FinOps, cloud governance, security frameworks (SOC 2, NIST), and zero-trust architecture.
