Job summary

RiVidium Inc. is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and manage secure, scalable cloud-based systems in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

You will bridge traditional IT with modern cloud solutions to help the organization leverage cloud technologies. The role requires eight years of experience, strong virtualization and cloud platform skills, and a solid grasp of security, IdAM, and RMF/NIST frameworks.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with current and emerging technologies.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware) and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong knowledge of cloud services: compute, storage, networking, databases, analytics.
• Experience with network security, IdAM, and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, DoD ILs, NIST).
• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity frameworks (RMF, NIST 800-53, STIGs).
• Bachelor's degree or related field; additional experience may substitute for a degree.

Title Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Description RiVidium Inc.

RiVidium Inc. is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and manage secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud-based systems. This role focuses on hybrid and multi-cloud environments and serves as a key bridge between traditional IT infrastructure and modern cloud solutions, enabling the organization to fully leverage cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and define cloud architectures for new and existing systems and services
• Implement and manage scalable, secure solutions using IaaS, PaaS, and event-driven architectures
• Oversee day-to-day cloud operations to ensure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Establish secure, software-defined cloud interconnects between on-premises systems and cloud environments
• Implement security controls and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and application issues with minimal disruption
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that improve performance, scalability, and security
• Align cloud solutions with mission objectives and organizational requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience with current and emerging technologies
• Proven experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware) and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Strong knowledge of cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and analytics
• Experience with network security, identity and access management (IdAM), and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels, NIST)
• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including RMF, NIST 800-53, and STIGs
• Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, and role-based access control (RBAC)
• Experience with IdAM technologies such as Active Directory, Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM), LDAP, and cloud-based identity solutions
• Proficiency with scripting (e.g., PowerShell) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies
• Bachelor's degree or vocational diploma in IT, Information Systems, or a related field
• Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS and/or Microsoft certifications at the Associate or Expert level (e.g., Solutions Architect, Systems Administrator, or Engineer)
• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Navy (DoN), or law enforcement environments

Certifications (Required):

• Must meet DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II requirements
• CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) required
