Job summary

bareinsights is seeking a senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate our cloud foundation across AWS and multi-cloud environments. The role emphasizes scalable Kubernetes operations, IaC with Terraform, and robust CI/CD pipelines, with edge deployment considerations.

The candidate should have 5+ years of hands-on experience, strong networking knowledge, and a track record in early-stage environments. Hybrid work in Arlington, VA with multiple hub locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure engineering.
• Production AWS experience with EC2, RDS, networking and autoscaling.
• Kubernetes deployment and operations at scale.
• Terraform or IaC tooling used to manage prod environments.
• Strong Bash scripting; Python or Go proficiency.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking: VPCs, subnets, routing, NAT, load balancers.
• Experience owning infra in build-phase or early-stage environments.
• CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance (CircleCI).
• Nice to have: multi-cloud, edge Kubernetes (k3s/RKE2), or constrained environments.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident — visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure across AWS and multi-cloud environments.
• Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes (EKS) at scale.
• Build and maintain IaC using Terraform for repeatable deployments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI).
• Implement observability with metrics, logs, and tracing.
• Support integration with edge-deployed systems across distributed environments.
• Debug and resolve production issues spanning cloud, networking, and app layers.
• Collaborate with backend and infrastructure teams to ensure resilience.
