Job summary

i3 Integration Innovation, Inc. in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and sustain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for DoD mission systems.

The role covers networking, compute, storage, identity, monitoring, and automated operations. You will build infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep or Ansible, manage cloud security and IAM, and support migration from on‑premises to hybrid clouds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 6+ years of infrastructure engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Azure or AWS; experience with both is highly desirable.
• Experience with networking concepts, Linux/Windows administration, and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and sustain cloud infrastructure for mission applications and enterprise services.
• Engineer virtual networks, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and DNS with security controls.
• Provision and manage compute, storage, databases, backup, and related services.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code and automated provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, Ansible.
• Configure identity, IAM, secrets, certificates, and privileged-access mechanisms.
• Build monitoring, logging, alerting, performance and capacity management.
• Automate routine administration, patching, compliance checks, and lifecycle activities.
• Support migration from on-premises to cloud/hybrid architectures.
• Diagnose issues and drive resolution; participate in change management and DR exercises.
