Job summary

Epiq AI Labs in New York, NY is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design and operate the cloud backbone of our AI platform. You will own Terraform modules, Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD pipelines, networking, secrets management, and security tooling to ensure reliable, scalable production systems.

Collaboration with backend, AI engineering, product, and security is essential as we pursue rapid iteration and end-to-end ownership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering.
• Hands-on experience with production infrastructure and on-call responsibility.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform.
• Production Kubernetes experience including scaling and troubleshooting.
• Ownership of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Incident-command experience in production environments.
• Experience with secrets and certificate management at scale.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Strong system-design and architectural documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate cloud infrastructure using Terraform, with modular design and drift remediation.
• Operate Kubernetes in production, including autoscaling, governance, and lifecycle management.
• Build and maintain CI/CD and release infrastructure with progressive delivery and rollback mechanisms.
• Define platform SLIs/SLOs and implement metrics, tracing, alerting, and error-budget practices.
• Implement security and compliance infrastructure, including data residency controls and audit trails.
• Manage network, secrets, key, credential, TLS, and certificate lifecycle infrastructure.
• Contribute to incident response, post-incident reviews, and platform readiness.
