Job summary

Cisco Systems is hiring for a senior role on the ACM team, based in Denver or Raleigh with a hybrid setup; remote candidates in the USA are encouraged to apply. You will define architecture, investments, and build-vs-buy tradeoffs to support thousands of customers and coordinate complex projects across cloud environments.

You will mentor engineers, drive production reliability, and set high standards for design and observability while influencing engineering direction beyond your immediate team.

Qualifications

• BS + 8 years or MS + 6 years or PhD + 3 years in related field.
• Experience building and operating large-scale production systems with Go and/or Python.
• Experience designing resilient, scalable distributed systems in cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure/GovCloud).
• Experience leading major technical initiatives and influencing engineering direction beyond immediate teams.

Responsibilities

• Set long-term direction for ACM’s configuration platform and investments.
• Lead complex projects spanning configuration delivery, DR, fleet management, and reliability.
• Establish standards for code quality, observability, and operational excellence.
• Mentor engineers and provide coaching to accelerate growth.
