Centific in San Jose, CA is seeking an Infrastructure Operations Engineer to support cloud delivery, OS deployment, and on-premise/bare metal environments. You will work with cloud service teams and internal groups to keep systems running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE, or related field.
• Experience in cloud infrastructure operations, data center environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in Linux.
• Experience with OS deployment and provisioning technologies.
• Proficiency with shell/bash or Python scripting.
• Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and cloud SDKs.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts (subnetting, VLANs, DNS, IPv6).
• Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring and incident management processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cloud service teams and internal groups to support deployment activities.
• Reinstall and reboot OS on cloud servers and bare metal environments.
• Troubleshoot Linux, cloud servers, networking, and hardware issues.
• Maintain operational data across fault tickets and infrastructure records.
• Coordinate with cloud providers to resolve incidents and large-scale issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident management.
• Monitor infrastructure health, alerts, and asset utilization.
• Develop tooling and automation in Shell or Python.
• Support process optimization and standardization initiatives.
• Troubleshoot server and cloud network issues (TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, IPv6).
• Support cloud fleet operations and infrastructure performance management.
• Assist with documentation and knowledge sharing.
