Job summary

Northern Technologies Group is seeking a Mid-Level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency under the IRES contract. The role focuses on migrating functions to private, public, and hybrid clouds, designing client-specific solutions, and ensuring secure, scalable cloud environments aligned with mission needs.

Responsibilities include automating infrastructure, planning cloud architecture, testing, optimization, and delivering updates.

Qualifications

Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Active DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification required.
1+ year of directly related cloud infrastructure experience.
Experience with cloud delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
Experience with enterprise server OS (RHEL 7/8, Windows Server 2019+).
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Support migration of functions and networks to private, public, and hybrid clouds.
Design, plan, and implement client-specific cloud solutions.
Identify appropriate cloud providers and size cloud networks.
Ensure security, resilience, and scalability of cloud environments.
Build infrastructure automation and drive rapid delivery of updates.
Perform testing and optimization for efficiency.
Provide architectural vision and roadmaps with engineers and platform operations.
