Job summary

CGI is seeking a Senior Technical Incident Manager to support enterprise production systems in a fast-paced financial services setting. You will monitor cloud-based applications, respond to incidents, and guide cross-functional teams to restore services quickly.

The role requires hands-on AWS experience, strong communication, and familiarity with ITSM processes. A 24x7 on-call rotation is part of the duties, with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise production environments or IT operations
• Deep knowledge of AWS including EC2, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Route53, S3, ELB, Lambda, ECS, or RDS
• Experience monitoring production applications with Splunk, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, SolarWinds, or similar tools
• Familiarity with Major Incident Management or Production Support processes
• Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows server administration
• Experience using ServiceNow for Incident, Problem, and Change Management
• Familiarity with observability tools including OpenTelemetry is a plus
• Understanding networking fundamentals: DNS, Load Balancers, SSL, VPNs, firewalls
• Experience documenting incidents using Jira and Confluence
• Basic knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and on-call experience
• Exposure to financial services or highly available enterprise environments is a plus
• Basic scripting with PowerShell or Python is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Monitor health and availability of cloud-based apps and production systems
• Respond to production incidents and coordinate restoration across teams
• Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous operational improvements
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues across AWS environments
• Maintain and document incident procedures and runbooks
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders in a 24x7 environment
