Job summary

Google Cloud Platform Identity and Access Management team is a cornerstone of Google Cloud's security and success. We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Capsium Infrastructure team, owning the global serving platform that provides policy-based access checks across regions and services including Google Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Google Kubernetes Engine, and BigQuery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or compute/storage/hardware.
• 3 years in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience in people management.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and support the career advancement of a high-performing engineering team while fostering a collaborative culture.
• Define and execute a multi-year technical roadmap for GCP authorization infrastructure.
• Drive complex projects through the software lifecycle with attention to reliability and quality.
• Provide technical direction and system design oversight for distributed, fault-tolerant infrastructure.
• Build partnerships across GCP teams to align platform capabilities.
