Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Cloud Hardware Development Engineer to join the Network Product Development team. You will build, deploy, and scale the Amazon networks that support AWS data centers worldwide.

You will work with hardware design and verification, develop test scripts for transceivers, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to deliver high-speed interconnects with reliability, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years verification experience in communication systems.
• 4+ years hardware design and validation experience.
• 2+ years vendor negotiations and management.
• 2+ years developing test scripts for transceivers.
• 2+ years system integration for servers and GPU high-speed connectivities.

Responsibilities

• Drive product development plans with customers, peers and suppliers.
• Troubleshoot optical and electrical high-speed links and inter-operability.
• Collaborate with vendors to evaluate hardware/software features and plan integration.
• Automate test plans for optical/electrical modules.
• Define test plans with ODMs/CMs for transceivers.
• Work with network operations to improve quality and RMA processes.
