Job summary
SHI is seeking a Principal Architect – Cloud Foundation to lead enterprise-scale infrastructure modernization using VMware Cloud Foundation and related automation tools. The role focuses on design, delivery, governance, and security across SDDC, cloud management, and networking in a remote setting.
You will drive CI/CD, scripting, and DevOps practices, mentor teams, and partner with sales to scope and deliver professional services.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of VMware Cloud Foundation solutions architecture experience.
- 10+ years of VMware experience in enterprise environments.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong leadership and customer-facing consulting skills.
- Proven ability to deliver large-scale IT projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and delivery for VMware Cloud Foundation projects.
- Provide SME guidance within the Cloud Foundation domain.
- Lead SDDC, networking, and CI/CD initiatives (GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, GitHub, AWS DevOps).
- Mentor other architects and consultants.
- Partner with sales to identify professional services opportunities and drive outcomes.
