Job summary

Kingland seeks an Advanced Software Engineering Intern to join our Ames/IA offices, working with full-time engineers on cloud-based Java/Go software on production-ready projects.

The candidate will gain experience across the software lifecycle, with exposure to modern web UI tech and team collaboration. Currently enrolled in a four-year program in CS/SE and GPA 3.0+ preferred; position is on-site in Ames, IA.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four-year institution, in a related program.
• Experience writing Java, GO or other OO language.
• Major GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interaction and collaboration with full-time Software Engineers on the development and enhancement of Cloud Based, Java or Go database-driven software.
• Implement and apply various software design concepts to projects in Production.
• Estimate work efforts and requirements for projects assigned and perform to those estimations.
• Communicate effectively and appropriately with internal team members and external clients.
