Job summary

UDR Consulting, INC is seeking a Cloud FinOps Specialist in Charleston, West Virginia to drive cost optimization, budgeting and forecasting for our cloud environment, while ensuring governance and proper tagging for accurate spend visibility.

You will partner with engineering, finance and leadership to build a culture of financial accountability, deliver executive dashboards, and implement showback/chargeback models so business units see their exact cloud consumption.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7+ years in IT financial management, financial analysis, or cloud operations.
• Experience in cloud cost management and optimization using RI/Savings Plan management.
• Experience creating financial dashboards and reporting for executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Cost optimization: analyze daily usage and drive right-sizing or waste reduction.
• Budgeting & forecasting: build financial models and track budget variances.
• Governance & tagging: enforce resource naming and tagging standards for accurate cost allocation.
• Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, finance, and leadership to build a culture of financial accountability.
• Showback/Chargeback: manage cost-sharing models so business units see their exact cloud consumption.
