Job summary

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Cloud FinOps Advisor to lead financial management of cloud spending across multi-cloud platforms. The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph and a strong track record in optimizing cloud investments. You will drive cost-awareness and partner with engineering to implement cost-saving measures.

The candidate should have 3+ years in cloud FinOps or cost optimization, and hold FinOps certification. This position is based in Herndon, VA with security requirements noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 14+ years of experience; Master’s 12+ years; PhD/JD 9+ years.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
• Certification in Cloud FinOps (e.g., FinOps Certified Practitioner) is required.
• Minimum 3 years in cloud financial management or cost optimization.
• Strong understanding of cloud pricing across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed financial analysis and forecasting for cloud spending across platforms (AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle).
• Leverage management tools to identify and act on optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to promote cost-optimization practices.
• Provide insights on cloud usage and cost trends to senior management.
• Lead the FinOps practice and drive cost-awareness across the organization.
• Engage with cloud providers to ensure cost-efficient optimization.
