Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Cloud and Hosting Services Analyst to collect and analyze data to provide cloud financial insights for an Infrastructure and Operations division. This role supports the FinOps team, partners with Cloud Governance, and drives cost optimization across multi-cloud platforms.

The position requires an undergraduate or master’s degree in CS, MIS, or data analytics, plus 5+ years IT experience and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

Undergraduate or master’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or data analytics.
+5 years of experience in IT (Business Analytics, Project Management, IT Finance).

Responsibilities

Produce insightful reports for multi-cloud platforms for Management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to convert requirements into data insights.
Support FinOps with goals/KPIs, data retrieval, and modeling.
Partner with Cloud Governance to map data flows and consolidate data sources.
Analyze and forecast cloud hosting costs.
Provide cost optimization recommendations.
Create and maintain month-end and quarter-end reports.
Use Agile methodology for planning and execution.
Leverage tools to drive data-driven decisions.
Collect requirements for automation projects and assess fit and cost.
