Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Cloud and Hosting Services Analyst to help collect and analyze data to deliver cloud financial insights for our Infrastructure and Operations group in the United States.

You will produce reports across multi-cloud platforms, collaborate with global teams, support FinOps KPIs, map data flows with Cloud Governance, forecast costs, and propose optimization strategies while driving agile, data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in CS / MIS / data analytics.
• +5 years of IT experience in IT Finance / Analytics / PM.
• Experience with multi-cloud platforms and FinOps is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Produce insightful reports for multi-cloud platforms that can be shared with and actioned by Management.
• Work effectively with cross-functional teams globally, assimilating requirements, driving results in the form of data insights and building strategic partnerships.
• Support the FinOps team with setting goals/KPIs, retrieving data and modeling
• Partner heavily with Cloud Governance to map data process flows for a single data source.
• Analyze and forecast cloud hosting costs.
• Provide cost optimization recommendations.
• Create and maintain month-end and quarter-end reports.
• Use Agile methodology for planning and execution.
• Use tools and technology to make data driven decisions.
• Collect requirements for targeted automation projects; exploring potential solutions based on fit, up-skilling need, team skillsets, cost, and current and long-term strategies
