Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Cloud FinOps Analyst to transform cloud and AI consumption data into actionable insights, improve forecasting, and identify optimization opportunities across the enterprise.

This onshore role partners with application owners, engineers, product teams, finance, procurement, and leadership to embed cost, performance, reliability, and sustainability considerations into cloud design and capacity decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in cloud cost management or FinOps practices.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to partner with cross-functional teams including finance, engineering, and product.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize cloud cost management platforms and tools.
• Monitor cloud and AI cost and usage trends; investigate anomalies and variances.
• Develop cost estimates and scenarios for workloads migrating to or scaling in the cloud.
• Identify and deliver optimization opportunities such as rightsizing, scheduling, and resource cleanup.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, product teams, and leadership to embed cost considerations into design and capacity decisions.
• Produce concise management reporting that shows savings and ownership.
