Job summary

Amazon's AWS Supply Chain Accounting team is seeking an analytical accounting professional to join a fast-growing function that drives end-to-end financial processes across global operations.

You will own accounting and reporting tasks, partner with finance and IT, and contribute to process improvements and automation while upholding strong controls and accuracy. The role requires 5+ years of experience and a CPA is preferred, with exposure to large-scale data tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

Responsibilities

• Support various aspects of accounting and reporting process.
• End-to-end process ownership to support finance and business partners.
• Lead delivery of accounting tasks and projects.
• Escalate risks and issues to leadership.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to drive positive change.
• Enhance partnerships between accounting and business, finance, tax, trade compliance and IT groups.
• Research, conclude and memorialize technical accounting position papers.
