Job summary

Fortis Construction, Inc. is seeking a Systems Administrator to maintain and administer the company’s core IT systems, including on-premises and cloud infrastructure, network devices, and enterprise applications.

The role supports the company’s cloud journey, ensures scalability and security, administers Azure/M365 governance, Entra, SIEM, and licensing, and manages network, endpoints, and collaboration platforms across on-site offices and jobsites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a systems administration role.
• Experience with administering Entra and M365 platforms.
• Experience with administering Google Workspace platform.
• Experience with scripting languages and automation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to run and execute technology implementation projects.
• Ability to work independently and as part of different teams across the business.
• Capable of learning large, complex systems in a short time frame.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Fortis policy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer the company’s core IT systems, including on-premises and cloud infrastructure, network devices, and enterprise applications.
• Contribute to the company’s cloud journey, ensuring scalability, security, and efficient integration with existing systems.
• Administer Azure/M365 governance, Entra, SIEM, resource groups, and licensing.
• Manage network infrastructure, conference rooms, DHCP, DNS, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, VLANs, and ZTNA.
• Circuit Management – Procure, manage, and monitor data circuits for offices and jobsites.
• Endpoint Management – Patch management, Intune device management, and PIM.
• Administer and maintain enterprise applications, including SaaS platforms, cloud file services, and Intune application/package management.
• Administer productivity platforms including SharePoint, Teams, and Google Workspace.
• Work with IT teams and end users to ensure effective application configuration, deployment, maintenance, and testing.
• Create and maintain network diagrams, data flow diagrams, and system architecture documentation.
• Support cybersecurity reviews, audits, remediation, and defense-in-depth initiatives.
• Work with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the position and team objectives.
