Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen LLP is seeking a Security Architect - Cloud & Enterprise Security to lead security operations, cloud security and automation within the IT Security Services team. The role emphasizes Azure, Microsoft Defender/XDR, and Sentinel with hands-on engineering, threat hunting, and incident response.

You will develop security standards, create automation, and guide cross‑functional teams while ensuring risk‑based security in cloud environments and third‑party engagements.

Qualifications

• 7 years IT experience; 4 in security of IT systems; 2 in security design/strategy
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant field
• Experience in incident response, investigations, threat hunting, and advanced security analysis
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud security; AWS experience a plus
• Proficiency with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, REST APIs, and integration technologies
• Experience developing security automations, scripts, integrations, or response workflows
• CISSP, CCSP, or comparable security/cloud/DevOps credential preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and improve security operations using Microsoft security technologies
• Lead or support complex security investigations, containment, remediation, and post‑incident review
• Develop threat hunting queries, detection logic, and response playbooks
• Provide security architecture guidance for Azure environments; AWS as needed
• Develop scripts and automation workflows using PowerShell, Graph, REST APIs, and Azure services
• Create reusable security standards, diagrams, and operational documentation
• Mentor teammates and drive collaboration and continuous improvement
