Job summary

BAM is seeking an engineering manager to own all aspects of a large, multi-region AWS environment and partner with Portfolio Managers and business stakeholders to enable efficient use of cloud solutions.

You will lead a global team of Cloud Engineers, define cloud strategy, and build blueprints for developers to deliver resilient, cost-efficient applications in the cloud. This role requires leadership, collaboration, and strong cloud expertise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on experience with large-scale, highly available services on public cloud.
• 5+ years people management experience.
• Expert knowledge of at least 1 public cloud provider, Kubernetes, and related tools.
• Experience with Direct Connect and related networking concepts.
• Experience integrating IAM into an enterprise.
• Experience with cloud-native security practices and tools.
• Understanding of FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization.
• Comfortable writing Python.
• Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Responsibilities

With respect to NY, CA, and IL based applicants, the starting base pay range for this role is between USD 200000 and USD 300000 annually. The actual base pay is dependent upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, business needs and market demands. This role may also be eligible for bonus compensation and employee benefits.
