Job summary

ModMed in Boca Raton, FL, is hiring a Manager of Cloud Engineering to lead a team of SREs focused on the reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency of our AWS cloud platform. The role emphasizes driving SRE best practices, automation, and containerized deployments using Kubernetes, with strong collaboration across product and operations teams.

You will mentor engineers, shape the cloud strategy, and ensure security and compliance in daily operations, while guiding cost-conscious improvements

Qualifications

  • 8–10 years in Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or similar roles
  • At least 5 years in a leadership position
  • Experience managing cloud environments (AWS preferred) with observability tools like DataDog
  • Proficient in automation and scripting (Python, Bash) and IaC (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Strong CI/CD and containerization knowledge (Jenkins, Kubernetes)
  • Solid networking, security, performance optimization, and cost management skills
  • Excellent communication for technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Commitment to site reliability principles and cost-conscious daily operations

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a cloud infrastructure roadmap aligned with business goals
  • Oversee secure, scalable cloud infrastructure with emphasis on automation and cost management
