Job summary

ModMed is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team responsible for our enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM) platform, including central authentication and SSO. You will balance technical leadership with people management, delivering secure, scalable infrastructure improvements and high-quality software releases.

You’ll collaborate with the Technical Product Owner and Staff Engineer, drive testing and CI/CD best practices, and mentor engineers to grow

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering management experience leading backend or platform software teams, with 5+ years hands-on software development.
• Solid background in object-oriented design and backend systems; Java or C# is a strong plus.
• Deep understanding of modern testing methodologies, automated test frameworks, and CI/CD deployment workflows.
• Willingness to engage in acceptance testing and maintain high release quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate updates to leadership.
