Job summary

Modernizing Medicine (ModMed) is seeking a Manager, Cloud Engineering to lead a team of SREs responsible for reliability, performance, and scalability of our AWS cloud platform. You will drive adoption of SRE practices, optimize costs, and automate processes to deliver value.

You will mentor engineers, shape roadmaps, and partner with cross-functional teams to implement secure, scalable cloud solutions using DataDog observability, Jenkins CI/CD, and Kubernetes orchestration.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
8–10 years in SRE/Cloud Engineering with at least 5 in leadership.
Experience managing AWS cloud environments and DataDog.
Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Bash) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
Extensive experience with CI/CD tools, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.
Strong networking, cloud security best practices, performance optimization, and cost management.

Responsibilities

Lead Cloud Engineering team, set strategy and priorities for reliability, scalability, and performance.
Develop roadmaps for cloud infra aligned with business goals and SRE practices.
Oversee secure, scalable cloud infra focusing on automation and cost management.
Ensure observability with DataDog and efficient resource usage.
Guide CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and AWS integration.
Lead containerization with Kubernetes for scalability and cost-efficiency.
Collaborate across teams to deliver AWS-based solutions.
Support on-call rotations and occasional office visits.
