Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Cloud Engineer intern to support enterprise modernization, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot production environments in real customer settings. You will work with senior engineers on architecture decisions and help automate repetitive tasks to reduce toil.

You will contribute to monitoring, incident response, and the deployment of scalable cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP while learning alongside experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Windows and Linux systems, including migrating multi-tier apps to cloud infrastructure.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to update customers and internal teams on issues and RCAs.
• Ability to visually communicate architecture to customers and internal teams.
• Preferred: experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure and relevant certifications.
• Configuration management experience using Ansible, Chef or Puppet.

Responsibilities

• Implement cloud architectures on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform as defined by the Solutions Architect.
• Support customer cloud deployments in a 24x7 operational environment.
• Monitor production infrastructure in 24x7 rotation and improve monitoring through automation.
• Prepare monthly operational reports and present them on schedule.
• Assist the team in identifying and adopting new technologies.
• Utilize off-the-shelf and open-source tools to manage infrastructure and ensure resilience.
• Maintain and improve existing enterprise infrastructure.
