Job summary

Randstad Digital in Washington, DC is seeking a Mid-Level Cloud Engineer to design, build, and optimize public cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS for a high-profile federal program. This contract-to-hire role sits on a dynamic DevOps and infrastructure team.

You will configure environments, implement IaC, support enterprise mail and MDM services, and collaborate with external development teams to mature cloud workload architectures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience deploying and managing workloads in AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• 7+ years IT infrastructure across compute, network, and storage domains.
• Direct experience managing and supporting dual Microsoft Exchange and Google Workspace enterprise environments.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder with 3+ years of continuous U.S. residency).
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure (Azure resources, AWS accounts, IAM roles, VPCs).
• Build and maintain IaC automation with Terraform, CloudFormation, PowerShell, and Python.
• Coordinate change, release, patching, and on-call support for Mail and MDM services (O365, Exchange, Intune).
• Collaborate with external teams to evaluate cloud workload architectures in AWS and Azure.
• Perform on-call rotation, monitor security posture, and manage access requests.
• Draft architectural designs, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
