Mindex, a Rochester, NY-based software product and services company, is seeking an experienced DevOps/SRE professional to join our expanding team. You will implement AWS resources, automate IaC templates, and support Windows-based cloud environments for our SaaS platform.

Responsibilities include security, cost optimization, CI/CD support, proactive monitoring, and incident response, with opportunities for growth within a collaborative, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• AS or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related area, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborative Implementation: Deploy and configure AWS resources for new product features aligning with platform standards.
• Infrastructure Automation: Develop IaC templates (Terraform or CloudFormation) for SaaS environments to automate configurations.
• Environment Support: Manage and troubleshoot Windows-based cloud instances for high availability.
• Deployment Support: Help manage CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot deployment failures.
• Proactive Monitoring: Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting (CloudWatch) to spot issues before users are impacted.
• Security & Compliance Tasks: Implement security best practices, manage IAM roles, VPC configurations, and security groups.
• Resource Optimization: Monitor resource utilization and perform cost-optimization activities.
• Incident Support: Investigate alerts, perform root-cause analysis, coordinate with engineers for resolution.
• Continuous Learning: Stay current on AWS and DevOps tools, contribute to team documentation.
• Availability: Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours maintenance.
