Job summary

sg360 is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support AWS cloud infrastructure and Microsoft 365 environments in an onsite role near Wheeling Township, IL. You will work with infrastructure, security, cloud, and development teams to deliver reliable, automated solutions while gaining exposure to AI-enabled operations and modern IT practices.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of experience, strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, and JavaScript, and a solid foundation in networking.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience supporting infrastructure, cloud platforms, or enterprise tech environments.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, DNS, VPNs, routing, and security concepts.
• Experience using PowerShell for administration and automation.
• Basic scripting or development experience with Python or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with source code repositories such as Git or Bitbucket.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and related services.
• Assist with administration and support of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and related cloud platforms.
• Participate in infrastructure projects, cloud migrations, and platform modernization initiatives.
• Develop scripts and automation using PowerShell, Python, and JavaScript.
• Support incident response, monitoring, and reliability activities.
• Collaborate with engineers across teams to deliver outcomes.
• Document solutions, processes, and runbooks.
• Participate in project planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to AI-driven automation and internal tooling.
• Help improve operational efficiency through automation and governance.
