Job summary

Smile Digital Health in the United States is hiring a Cloud Engineer (Automation) to design, build, operate and improve production-grade automation for the Smile platform and its clients.

You will own build and release pipelines, manage IaC with Terraform and Helm on Azure, provision on-demand environments, and implement automated recovery while partnering with Platform, Solution Engineering, and Service Operations teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on cloud engineering, DevOps or platform engineering.
• Strong Terraform, Helm, Azure DevOps pipelines, and GitOps experience.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (AKS) and cloud environments.
• Experience with cost management and regulated environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own build and release engineering with CI/CD automation for Azure.
• Automate infrastructure and environments using Terraform and Helm.
• Implement GitOps-based continuous delivery with drift detection and rollback.
• Automate disaster recovery, backups, DR drills, and RTO/RPO measurements.
• Collaborate with Platform, Solution Engineering, and Service Operations teams.
• Improve platform reliability with health probes, autoscaling, and observability.
