Job summary

Akina, Inc. seeks a cloud-focused engineer to migrate applications to cloud environments, design secure scalable architectures, and implement IaC using Terraform and CloudFormation. You will build reusable modules, optimize costs, and document runbooks while ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.

The role requires hands-on experience with Docker/Kubernetes, AWS CDK, and monitoring stacks, with a TS/SCI clearance beneficial for the team.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of software development/engineering experience in cloud-related programs.
• At least four (4) years with cloud technologies required.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Migrate applications to cloud environments and modernize architectures.
• Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure using IaC and best practices.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform root-cause analysis for incidents.
• Build reusable IaC modules (e.g., Terraform, Helm) and enforce standards.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for HA/DR.
• Provide cost optimization and governance, including tagging and budgets.
• Document architectures, runbooks, and operational procedures.
