Job summary

Lubrizol Corporation seeks a Cloud Engineer to lead Azure-first cloud initiatives and hybrid infrastructure improvements. You will develop and maintain IaC, automate deployments, and collaborate with security, architecture, and IT to deliver scalable cloud solutions.

The role emphasizes operational excellence and continuous improvement across platforms. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years in cloud engineering, strong scripting abilities, and a collaborative mindset to support enterprise-scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of IT infrastructure, systems, or cloud engineering experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure or cloud platforms in a production environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, virtualization, networking, or systems administration.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, identity, security fundamentals, and enterprise infrastructure technologies.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, automation concepts, and PowerShell scripting.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to take ownership of assigned services while balancing speed, reliability, security, and operational discipline.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and support Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Configure and manage cloud resources, networking, identity integrations, subscriptions, and platform services.
• Execute cloud platform deployments, upgrades, lifecycle activities, and workload modernization initiatives.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using ARM, Bicep, Terraform, and PowerShell.
• Contribute to automation initiatives that improve consistency, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Monitor platform health, performance, capacity, and availability while supporting incident response.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud platform issues within defined service levels.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, and architecture teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
• Document solutions, SOPs, and runbooks to support operational excellence.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement through automation and emerging cloud technologies.

As a Cloud Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving the delivery, automation, support, and continuous improvement of Azure-first cloud and hybrid infrastructure platforms that support our Next-Generation Infrastructure strategy. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. In this role, you will:

• Implement, maintain , and support Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

• Document solutions, standard operating procedures, and operational runbooks to support operational excellence.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement through automation, process optimization, and adoption of emerging cloud technologies.

Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant information technology experience in infrastructure, systems, or cloud engineering roles.
• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure or cloud platforms in a production environment.

• Knowledge of cloud networking, identity, security fundamentals, and enterprise infrastructure technologies.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, automation concepts, and PowerShell scripting.
