Job summary

Korn Ferry is seeking a Cloud Engineer in Plano, TX, on a contract-to-hire basis. The role focuses on hands-on data lake engineering using AWS services, building data pipelines, and enabling analytics workloads. 4+ years of cloud data engineering and a Bachelor's degree are expected. Compensation is $65-75 per hour, with Plano, TX as the work location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and strong cloud data engineering background.
• 4+ years of work experience in cloud data engineering.
• Experience with AWS data lake technologies and data movement tools.
• Hands-on with CI/CD deployments to AWS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data lake architectures on AWS.
• Build data pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to enable data analytics workloads.
• Implement and manage CI/CD processes for AWS deployments.

We have partnered with our client in their search for a AWS Cloud Engineer for a contract to hire position in Plano, TX

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience with one or more AWS data lake technologies:
• Data Lake: AWS Lake Formation, AWS Glue, AWS Step Function, AWS Lambda
• Data Movement: AWS CLI, Python API, Spark, Python Boto3
• Data Analytics: AWS Athena, S3 Select, EMR, Redshift
• Compute/Storage: AWS S3, AWS EC2
  Knowledge of at least one scheduling tool, Control-M Preferred
• Working experience in one or more of the following languages: Python(Preferred),Java/Scala(Good to Have)
• Knowledge and experience with testing, releasing, and CI/CD pipeline deployments into AWS using: Tools: Bitbucket/Git, Jenkins, Service Now

Skills Required

• Min 4-6 years of experience of cloud data engineering
• Glue, S3, Lambda, Step function, Lake Formation, Snowflake, Python, and Terraform, CI/CD
• Conversant with AI Suite (Copilot/Claude/Agentic workflows)
