Job Summary
The AWS Cloud Engineer – Data Integration Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-scale data integration solutions on the AWS platform. This role leverages serverless technologies, AWS CDK, and managed AWS services to build secure, scalable, and automated data pipelines, with a strong focus on SaaS and Salesforce data integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) using Python.
- Build and manage AppFlow integrations (both standard and custom) between Salesforce and AWS services.
- Develop AWS Lambda functions to support data transformation, validation, and processing.
- Implement and maintain S3-based data lake architectures for structured and semi-structured data.
- Configure and manage Amazon Aurora databases, including connectivity, querying, and performance optimization.
- Design end-to-end data pipeline architectures supporting batch and real-time data processing.
- Implement event-driven and serverless data processing workflows.
- Create and maintain automated deployment and release pipelines.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data integration workflows to ensure reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data integration solutions with business and security requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in AWS cloud development.
- 3+ years of experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK and/or CloudFormation.
- Strong experience with serverless architectures, including AWS Lambda and event‑driven designs.
- Hands‑on experience integrating Salesforce data using AppFlow and APIs.
- Proficiency in Python for cloud development and automation.
- Strong experience writing and executing SQL for data analysis and manipulation.
- Working knowledge of SOQL for Salesforce data queries.
- Experience working with REST APIs and JSON‑based integrations.
- Hands‑on experience with Amazon S3, Amazon Aurora, and DynamoDB.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines, and enterprise data integration patterns.
- Experience building and testing unit and integration tests for cloud‑based solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and delivery models.
Certifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (preferred)
