Job summary

SAIC is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer in Washington, DC to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will build secure solutions, automate provisioning with IaC, and optimize cloud costs while collaborating with DevOps and security teams.

The role requires 5+ years of cloud experience, strong scripting ability, and knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
• 5+ years of related experience in cloud engineering
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Proficiency in scripting languages Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Experience with IaC tools Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments
• Knowledge of database services (RDS, DynamoDB, Cloud SQL)
