Job summary

Conexus is seeking a Cloud Engineer with 8+ years of Microsoft/Azure experience to lead greenfield projects and scale enterprise infrastructure.

This hybrid role requires onsite 3-4 days a week in El Segundo or Century City, with hands-on IaC, automation, AI tooling, and strong networking and security skills.

You will collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure scalable, compliant cloud services and guide modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive IT/cloud infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on design, build and management of Azure infrastructure for Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, networking and data platforms.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, production support, and greenfield projects.
• Ability to evaluate and deploy AI tools for IT operations and automate onboarding, provisioning, and compliance workflows.
• Strong networking, security, and endpoint management capabilities, with cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with 8+ years of experience in a Microsoft/Azure environment. You will be involved in a number of greenfield projects that will help our client to continue to grow. This is a hybrid role and will require you to be onsite 3-4 days/week either in El Segundo or Century City (your choice choice).

• Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture: Design, build, and manage secure, scalable Azure infrastructure supporting Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, networking, and data platforms such as Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, and cloud storage. Requires hands‑on implementation, infrastructure‑as‑code, and production support experience.
• AI & Automation: Evaluate and deploy AI tools for IT operations, monitoring, reporting, and incident triage. Build automation using scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, and Microsoft Graph API to streamline onboarding, provisioning, and compliance workflows, with measurable goals for reducing manual workload.
• Networking, Security & Endpoints: Own multi-site network architecture, including firewalls, switches, VLANs, wireless, and VPN. Manage identity and access controls, Conditional Access, MFA, DLP, Intune device compliance, patching, and audit readiness in partnership with security and compliance teams.
• Technical Leadership & Requirements: Provision and secure cloud resources for data and analytics workloads, integrate systems, establish infrastructure standards, and drive AI adoption and modernization initiatives. Requires 8+ years of progressive IT/cloud infrastructure experience, strong Azure, scripting, automation, networking, and security experience.
