Job summary

A leading technology solutions provider is seeking a Cloud Engineer to contribute to the SRE team. This role involves defining service standards for reliability and efficiency while utilizing AWS Managed Services. The ideal candidate must have 2-3 years of software engineering experience, with proficiency in languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, and experience with modern monitoring tools and CI/CD processes. This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring onsite presence three times a month in various locations.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of software engineering experience is required.
• Experience in an Agile delivery environment.
• Hands-on experience in software development with understanding of test-driven development.
• Experience with AWS and application development on public cloud.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer who wants to help teams scale through production best practices, developer guidance, real-time metrics, reference apps and automation. You are a quick learner and problem-solving engineer that enjoys tackling challenging business problems with software. As part of the SRE team, you will help define the standards for reliability, availability, performance, scalability, security, resiliency, and efficiency of a service. Demonstrate a strong understanding of Cloud(AWS) deployment and best practices.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• 2-3 years of Software Engineering experience
• Experience working in an Agile delivery environment
• Hands on experience in software development with a good understanding of test-driven development
• Experience in software development and a deep understanding of the software life cycle stages
• Proven expertise and passion for delivering complex technology solutions and achieving results
• Application development on Public Cloud AWS Managed Services, ECS, EC2, EKS, Serverless Framework/Lambda, API Gateway, Step Function, S3, ALB, Route53
• Prior experience with Java, JS, Python, NodeJS, Spring
• Demonstrated ability to utilize modern monitoring tools (DataDog, Prometheus, Splunk)
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools, Terraform/Concourse/Jenkins
