Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking an Engagement Manager in the Houston area to lead cross-functional teams in delivering transformational cloud initiatives for State, Local Government and Education customers.

You will guide projects from requirements to delivery, manage scope, schedule and cost, and ensure customer satisfaction while driving cloud adoption across complex environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience.
• 5+ years of database (SQL/NoSQL/Hadoop/Spark/Kafka/Kinesis) experience.
• 7+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience.
• 5+ years of software development with object oriented language experience.
• 3+ years of cloud based solution experience (AWS or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Work with State Local Government and Education customers to envision transformational cloud initiatives.
• Manage a matrixed team across multi-stream, agile, technical engagements; plan, organize, and manage all project phases.
• Capture and validate requirements; develop governance plans, schedules, budgets, and milestones.
• Align goals across stakeholders and communicate through executive updates and sprint plans.
